We know that making it from one day to the next can sometimes be a struggle. At ECUMC, we hope to be a lifeline in times of need. We offer:
Community Food Pantry
The Community Food Pantry is open on the first and third Sundays of each month from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Food is distributed at other times by appointment only. Recipients are asked to show a Photo ID with proof of residency in Cobb County. Members and people living in the geographical area around the church are given preference.
When funds are available, ECUMC is sometimes able to provide rent or utilities assistance via our Benevolence Fund. Each Tuesday, our Minister of Congregational Care and Discipleship will process requests and offer assistance if funds are available. Simply call the church office (770.971.3643) and leave a message for Rev. Jim Perry.
In times of crisis, it can be good to have a friend who can journey beside you. Stephen Ministers are lay people who are trained to provide confidential care and companionship to people experiencing times of difficulty, such as unemployment, discouragement, strained relationships, etc. If you think you might benefit from a Stephen Minister, contact the church office at (770) 971-3643 or email us at to discuss or begin the referral process.
