We know that making it from one day to the next can sometimes be a struggle.
At ECUMC, we hope to be a lifeline in times of need. We offer:

Community Food Pantry

Although East Cobb UMC no longer hosts a monthly community food pantry, we continue to regularly support MUST Ministries of Marietta. They offer food, clothing, referral, and employment assistance at their program offices open Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. They are located at 1407 Cobb Parkway NW, Marietta, GA, 30062. Have questions? Feel free to call them at 770-427-9862.

Financial Assistance

When funds are available, ECUMC is sometimes able to provide rent or utilities assistance via our Benevolence Fund. Each Monday, our Minister of Congregational Care and Discipleship will process requests and offer assistance as funds are available. Simply call the church office 770-971-3643 Ext. 114 and leave a message for Rev. Jim Perry.

Emotional Support

In times of crisis, it can be good to have a friend who can journey beside you. Stephen Ministers are lay people who are trained to provide confidential care and companionship to people experiencing times of difficulty, such as unemployment, discouragement, strained relationships, etc. If you think you might benefit from a Stephen Minister, contact the church office at 770- 971-3643 or email us at stephenministry@eastcobbumc.org to discuss or begin the referral process.
