At ECUMC, we seek to be part of God's transforming mission throughout the world.
We work to make a difference in love through:

Mountain T.O.P.

Each Fall, East Cobb UMC sends mission teams to Mountain T.O.P. (Tennessee Outreach Project) to help with home repair projects in the Appalachian mountains of Tennessee. This interdenominational, non-profit Christian partnership ministry is affiliated with the Tennessee Conference of the United Methodist Church and dedicated to rural life ministry in the Cumberland Mountains. Through our partnership with Mountain T.O.P., we seek to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs of people through the love of Christ.

ECUMC will be sending two teams to Mountain TOP in Grundy County, TN this October:

Weekend 3 - October 17 - 20 - Major Home Repair (Mike Dunham leading the ECUMC team)

Weekend 4 - October 24 - 27 - Major Home Repair OR Fall Festival (Arleen & Greg Poquette leading ECUMC team)

If you want to go on a trip, please register with Mountain TOP here. If you need help getting registered, please call Rachel at the Mountain TOP office (931-692-3999). If you need a scholarship to help with registration fees, please contact the church office.

We have begun our NEW athletic shoe and work boot collection to take to the Fall Festival (weekend 4). Please bring donations on Sundays for worship or the church office during the week. Our goal is 350 pairs of new athletic shoes and work boots!

International Missions

Through the global connection of the United Methodist Church, ECUMC is able to extend our missional reach beyond our national borders. In the past, we have sent out short-term missionaries to Central America and Kenya. We also support missions through special offerings each year.

Currently, we are looking for volunteers and financial aid for Rise Against Hunger. Rise Against Hunger is an international hunger relief organization that distributes food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable, mobilizing the necessary resources to end hunger by 2030. Join other East Cobb United Methodist Churches in the fight against hunger by registering for this local meal packing event on Sept. 8 in the East Cobb UMC Fellowship Hall from 2-4 p.m. Sign up here today!
