Rev. Kristin Lee

Senior Pastor

Rev. Kristin Lee was appointed to East Cobb UMC in June of 2018. She previously served as Associate Minister: Discipleship at Roswell UMC, and Minister of Christian Formation at Fayetteville First UMC. Kristin graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Spanish. She then earned her Master of Divinity from Duke Divinity School. Kristin is married to Rev. Eric Lee and together they share five children. When not at church, you can find Kristin at the ball fields, playing the Nintendo Switch, or on the tennis court.

Joe was appointed to East Cobb UMC in the summer of 2022. He previously served at Trinity UMC in Rome, GA, as the Pastor of Youth & Discipleship, and McKendree UMC in Lawrenceville, GA, as the Youth & Missions Director. He is passionate about living out his calling as an ordained deacon to word, service, compassion, and justice with youth and adults. Joe graduated from Albright College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and from the Candler School of Theology at Emory University with a Master of Divinity in 2007. Joe loves hanging out with his wife, Kathryn, and their three incredible children. He also loves all things pop culture related, reading, sports, and video games.

Ira has served in Presbyterian and Methodist churches in Decatur, Chamblee, Sandy Springs, Savannah, Roswell, and Marietta. Prior to coming to East Cobb UMC in March of 2016, Ira served for 21 years as Senior Organist/Music Associate/Director of the Chancel Choir at Mt. Bethel UMC. Ira lives in East Cobb with his husband, Bill, and two Cocker Spaniels. He is a father of twins and the proud "Paw-Paw" to five grandsons and one granddaughter! Ira Pittman received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Music Education from Georgia State University, with emphases in Voice, Choral Conducting, and Organ Performance.

Dustin Cottrell

Dustin Cottrell

Co-Music Director

Dustin Cottrell has been a professional musician for more than 25 years, performing regularly in the Atlanta area, throughout the Southeast, and beyond. He performs on piano, keyboards, guitar, and vocals in a variety of styles and settings. Dustin studied music at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee, FL from 1999-2005, focusing on Classical and Jazz piano. While at FSU, Dustin married his high school sweetheart, Adrienne, who was also studying music and religion. After graduating, the Cottrells moved to Marietta, GA and have remained ever since. In 2013 they adopted their infant son, Jude. While in Marietta, Dustin has taught private music lessons, performed with a variety of bands, and accompanied in several theaters and churches. Recent accompaniment positions have included Mt Bethel UMC and Grace Resurrection Church.

Katie Tracy has spent several years in early childhood education, serving in both teaching and leadership roles, most recently as an Assistant Director at Trinity Presbyterian Preschool in Atlanta. She has a passion for creating engaging, meaningful experiences for children and supporting families as they grow in their faith. Outside of church, Katie enjoys spending time with her husband, Kenny, and their two young children. She also loves a good workout class, playing Animal Crossing, and a crispy Dr. Pepper.

We are excited to introduce you to our new Preschool Director, Jennifer Moultrie! Jennifer is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in early childhood education and mental health counseling. Originally from South Carolina, she has dedicated her career to creating nurturing, inclusive environments where children and families can thrive. Her leadership has been recognized with multiple awards reflecting her commitment to operational excellence, team development, and community engagement. Jennifer holds a master's degree in counseling from Webster University and a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the College of Charleston. She has successfully led large teams, launched new programs, and built strong partnerships with families and community organizations.

Minna joined the staff of East Cobb UMC in September 2022. She is a Graphic and Web designer based in Smyrna, GA. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Writing & Linguistics and Information Technology from Georgia Southern University. A strong advocate for literacy and community spaces, she has over 5 years of experience in Digital Marketing for government and non-profit organizations. When she’s not designing, she enjoys reading long Science Fiction novels, traveling, and discovering new restaurants.

Bryson graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelors of Arts in Music and a minor through the Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Program. He has a vast array of interests and talents that span the areas of music, film, and technology. He has a background of working with video and audio equipment through both his music and acting careers and a vast array of technology knowledge from his hobby of building and repairing both old and new computers. If there is a question related to computer software or hardware, he will likely have an answer.

Natalie is very excited to join East Cobb UMC church staff! She attended Toccoa Falls College and graduated in 2022 with Bachelor’s of Psychology. She enjoys cooking, reading, playing with her cat, Persephone, and watching Disney musicals in her free time. She also enjoy helping others and looks forward to serving the Lord in any way that she can.
